With #allpawsahome, we are launching an initiative to modernise Germany's animal shelters. LucyBalu, which originated from a pro bono project for the Munich animal shelter, is thus giving animal welfare a long-term share in the company's success.
Although the exact number of animal shelters in Germany is not known, more than 500 animal shelters alone are affiliated with the German Animal Welfare Association, the "Deutscher Tierschutzbund". Therefore, we can safely assume that there are about 700 animal shelters in Germany alone. LucyBalu has set itself the goal of refurbishing at least one out of every two animal shelters in Germany by 2030, thus making them a better home for cats to live in. At the same time, stylish cat room furnishings can also make the shelters more appelling to the people visting and therefore make people more likely to come and adopt cats. Whether they are in a shelter or in your home, cats deserve to live in a species-appropriate environment.

Wir setzen uns regelmäßig dafür ein, Spenden für Tierheime zu sammeln. So haben wir beispielsweise die Mehrwertsteuersenkung in 2020 umfunktioniert in eine Tierheim-Sammelaktion. Für das Erreichen von 10.000 Followern auf Instagram im April 2021 haben wir uns mit einer Spendenaktion bei der Community bedankt. Einige Tierheime veranstalten selbst Fundraising Aktionen, für die wir vergünstigte Produkte beisteuern.
Sind wir mal ehrlich: wir mögen keine Retouren. Deswegen versuchen wir unsere Produkte so gut wie möglich zu gestalten und beraten unsere Kunden bei der Produktauswahl. Dennoch kommt es ab und zu vor, dass Produkte zu uns zurückgeschickt werden, die leichte Beschädigungen aufweisen. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Firmen vernichten wir diese Produkte nicht, sondern sammeln leicht beschädigte Produkte für Tierheime.
We regularly receive enquiries from animal shelters that stumble acorss our cat furniture while renovating their rooms. Helping animal shelters is something we hold close to our heart.
